Dental Implant Education Series

48 Continuing Education Credits

Are you ready for an exciting new challenge?

Have you been referring out most of your dental implant patients?

Do you wish your practice could offer the latest in restorative dentistry solutions?

Register today to participate in our three-part, dental implant educational series to learn how to incorporate dental implants into your practice.

This exciting series will provide a comprehensive study on dental implants from the treatment planning stages through post-surgery topics.

Who Should Participate in this Dental Implant Education Series?

  • New dental graduates eager to learn dental implant surgical techniques
  • Dentists who may have placed a few implants but not yet fully integrated this procedure into daily practice
  • Experienced implant dentists who wish to learn advanced surgical techniques/procedures
  • Dental chair side assistants who wish to better understand dental implant surgery
  • Dentists who wish to provide their patients with state of the art restorative treatment options

How Will Dental Implants Change My Practice?

By offering dental implants in your practice, you’ll be providing your patients with the best in restorative treatment.  Your patients will appreciate the convenience of receiving implant care from you and your team, rather than being referred outside your practice. For general dentists, you will have the benefit of seeing your patients’ treatments from start to finish.

What Topics Will Be Covered in This Series?

Each session will incorporate lecture, case presentations and group discussions. Hands-on exercises are also used to further participants’ understanding.

Hand on exercises include: implant placement, ridge preservation, grafting, use of osteotomes, restoration, Piezo electric surgery, and sinus lift procedures.

The topics covered in each part of the series include:

Level 1

  • The history of dental implantology
  • Information for a complete medical history of the dental implant patient
  • Diagnosis and treatment planning
  • Various implant systems
  • Socket and ridge preservation
  • Restorative options
  • The incorporation of dental implants into the general practice
  • Recognizing/Identifying the dental implant patient

    Level 2

  • Bone morphology
  • Cone beam radiography
  • Bone augmentation
  • Use of osteotomes in surgery
  • Atraumatic extractions

  • Lateral access sinus lift
  • Block grafting
  • Computer guided surgery
  • Implants in the esthetic zone
  • Immediate provisionalization
  • Soft tissue manipulation

  • Implant failure and removal
  • Case discussion and course summary

Can I Take Just One or a Combination of the Course Offerings?

For the doctor with little or no dental implant experience, the course offerings are best taken in true continuum style; Introduction, Levels 2 and 3.  Building upon the Introduction, Levels 2 and 3 present advanced techniques and procedures allowing participants to offer their patients start to finish implant treatment.

For the doctor who has some implant experience and who may be doing a few implant procedures, Levels 2 and 3 may be more appropriate.  See the course outlines to determine which course(s) best suits your educational needs.

We allow ample opportunity for group discussion, questions, and case presentations. Each course ensures a consistent and comprehensive approach to dental implant education.

Are the Courses Appropriate for My Dental Team?

These courses are extremely relevant for chairside dental assistants. They will gain an understanding of surgical procedures, the healing process, and final restoration. Other team members may benefit from an understanding of dental implant therapy from start to finish. Additionally, treatment plan presentation and marketing are more effective when your entire team has a firm understanding of the procedures.

How Many CEUs Will I Receive?

Doring Dental Seminars is a PACE certified continuing education provider.

Participants will receive 16 C.E.U.s per course level, 10 lecture, 6 participation.

48 C.E.U.s for the complete 3 Part Serices, 30 lecture, 18 Participation.
